At first glance, they are a ticking time bomb: a broken paladin, the embodiment of light, the embodiment of chaos, a fugitive Death Eater, and a renegade Templar. Yet, their shared pain and their status as outcasts bind them together on a profound level.

Their journey through the Astral Chaos is a quest for identity and home. Whether purging evil from new worlds, fleeing the cosmic forces seeking to hunt them down, or amassing enough power to rewrite their own histories, this conclave has become a formidable force. They have ceased to be victims of their respective universes, becoming instead the architects of their own multiversal destiny.

AWDALYTH

WANDERING GUARDIAN

AWDALYTH (ALY)

Lurean Aly, tormented by a tragic past, spent a long time searching for her path after helping to liberate Baldur's Gate and freeing herself from her condition as a semi-illithid.

She traveled aimlessly through the Astral Plane until she arrived at a world very much like our own. Passing through an astral rift, she encountered Soul Calibur and Soul Edge—two swords of immeasurable power. Both blades attempted to invade her mind to claim her as their new host; however, Aly—having no interest in harboring yet another parasite within her body—lashed out at them and shattered them. Yet, the power unleashed was so immense that Aly was violently expelled from the astral rift, losing consciousness in the process.

She was awakened by two women who claimed to be Aly herself—or, at the very least, two of her most prominent incarnations. Due to the fragments of soul energy that remained within Aly after her attempt to destroy Soul Edge and Soul Calibur, two distinct manifestations had been created, born from the affinity Aly had shared with the swords during her brief time within the astral rift.

ELEMENTARY CLERIC

FAITH (KLAIR)

Soul Calibur had been waiting for a new host after disposing of Siegfried. The return of the cursed sword was inevitable, and rarely did a warrior manage to connect, even briefly, to the astral rifts.

A warrior had arrived and piqued the interest of Soul Calibur's spirit. The energy emanating from this Tiefling knew no bounds in that world, making her a perfect host for its own purposes. However, upon attempting to enter the mind of the mysterious warrior, the holy sword realized there was an unbreakable wall surrounding the woman's consciousness. Contrary to what it expected, the warrior struck the sword, forcing Soul Calibur to retreat.

Even so, she couldn't pass up the opportunity to forge a bond with this mysterious woman. The Tiefling was an extremely intriguing guest, so before expelling the warrior from the astral rift, she implanted a fragment of herself into the woman's body. She would try to gain her trust at all costs, manifesting herself as "Faith," the living embodiment of Aly's light side, who now accompanies her wherever she goes.

SOUL CONQUEROR

SIN (LILITH)

Just as Soul Calibur became interested in Aly, Soul Edge's obsession with dominating the new Tiefling led the cursed sword to bind itself to a physical form. Because it could no longer emerge as a spirit as Inferno, and its last host, "Nightmare," had been defeated, Soul Edge embedded itself in Aly's consciousness after the Tiefling attempted to destroy it.

The cursed sword linked a part of itself to a manifestation based on Aly's consciousness, representing Aly's darkest intentions and thoughts, hoping to gain her trust so that, when the time came, it could forge a bond with the Tiefling as its new host to satiate its hunger for souls. Aly's destructive power and vengeful nature made her a perfect candidate.

From this is born "Sin" a conscious combination of the spirit of the cursed sword and Aly's dark side, now joining her hoping to expand its influence on the Tiefling's mind.

LEARNED WITCH

SYLPHIRA MORGATH

Sylph was one of the many distinguished witches at Hogwarts. Although she appeared indifferent to the many social and moral aspects the magical school offered to students aspiring to become Aurors, she never told anyone about her ability to perceive and manipulate ancient magic. She believed this would aid her in her quest for a greater, more ambitious power—one that would allow her to experiment with and control the delicate threads of the Veil of Death.

This led her to commit heinous acts against her own family and friends—from shattering her own soul to bearing the Dark Mark, and ultimately, becoming a Death Eater.

Leveraging her knowledge of the Veil of Death and the instability caused by her own fractured soul, Sylph attempted a forbidden ritual to cross the boundaries of reality. The ritual succeeded, but it came at a price. She was torn from the Wizarding World and cast into the Astral Plane—adrift, and starving for magical energy.

It was there that she sensed it: a massive resonance of soul energy. Something alive, burning with both vengeance and light. She found Aly—and, more importantly, sensed the remnants of Soul Edge and Soul Calibur within the Tiefling. To a witch who had fractured her own soul in a bid to conquer death, Aly represented a broken remnant of tragedy and mortality.

Now, she walks alongside her new companions on the path to redemption... unless, along the way, she discovers a greater power to which she might aspire.

THE UNTAMABLE

VALENTINA CONTI

She was once a high-ranking Templar Master, revered for her cunning and loyalty. However, her faith in the Order was shattered when she uncovered a plot by her superiors to use a powerful Artifact of Eden to control the will of an entire nation, rather than merely guiding it. She stood firmly against this total erasure of free will, deeming it a corruption of the very doctrine of the Order she had sworn to protect.

The Order’s reaction was swift and brutal. They branded her a traitor and a heretic, and her own Templar unit was dispatched to hunt her down. Knowing she could not win a direct confrontation—and that her life was forfeit—Victoria fled, taking with her a damaged fragment of the artifact. In a desperate attempt to escape through a secret, ancient laboratory, the artifact activated erratically, tearing a rift in the Animus that sucked her into the astral chaos.

Disoriented and nearly consumed by the chaotic energies, she was discovered by Aly and her manifestations. Faith sensed a spark of noble light within her, while Sin perceived the potential for hatred toward those who had betrayed her. Sylphira, the Dark Witch, recognized the telltale signs of ancient energy manipulation. Cautiously accepted by the group, Victoria now joins their ranks, hoping to find a new purpose—and perhaps, eventually, a way to purge the corruption from her former Order—armed with the knowledge of their secrets and an unwavering determination.
